1994 was the year Lovey moved to Taos from Breckenridge to buy Taos Lodging Vacation Casitas.
The agent kept saying “location, location, location”, but the grounds and casitas needed so much work; however, she fell in love with the property and Taos and the renovation began.
As each casita emerged to its former glory, the excitement grew. Early guests became friends coming again and again to “cool off”, renew their spirits or just to experience the casitas which reminded them of “old Taos”. Lovey lives on property to fulfill her role as “patrona” to all.
2006 brought Lovey’s daughter, Christy, and her husband, Ron and two fabulous granddaughters, Emma and Cameron, to Taos to experience small town life. They joined in the family business and worked harder than ever had in their former suburban existence.
Guests see the whole family greeting, cleaning, raking, sweeping, petting guest dogs and doing their best to welcome all who join them under the ancient elms.
